Requirements
Java version per Minecraft version
This is the single most common reason Hero Client "does not appear". Match the Java version to your Minecraft family exactly — older and newer both fail.
Mojang mappings. Minecraft 1.21.x will not start on an older JRE — and a newer JDK fails before the game loads.
Bundled mappings. Experimental — expect rough edges while 26.x stabilises.

Installation
Install as a Fabric mod — six steps
Hero Client installs like any Fabric mod, alongside Fabric API. No launcher, no account, no installer — just a JAR in your mods folder.
Install Fabric Loader
Install Fabric Loader for the exact Minecraft version you play. Hero Client is a Fabric mod — it runs alongside Fabric API.
Check your Java version
Java 21 for 1.21.x, Java 25 for 26.x. If the client does not appear at all, this is the single most common reason — check it first.
Drop in the JARs
Place the Hero Client JAR for your Minecraft version — and Fabric API — into your mods folder.
Launch the Fabric profile
Start Minecraft with the Fabric profile. Hero Client loads automatically.
Press M
Open the mod menu, browse categories with live search and toggle features on or off.
Make it yours
Drag HUD elements into place, rebind keys in the Keybind Editor, and connect your AI provider keys (BYOK) when you want the assistant.
