Overview #
Hero Client is the Hero Studios client — a feature-rich modular Fabric client with 50+ toggleable features: performance, visuals, HUD overlays, BYOK AI assistance, social tools, marketplace access and cloud sync. It installs like any Fabric mod and runs as a Lunar-style mod menu (press M).

Quick start #
- Run Minecraft on Java 21 — see the FAQ below if the client does not appear.
- Install Fabric Loader for your Minecraft version.
- Download the Hero Client JAR and Fabric API into your mods folder.
- Launch the game with the Fabric profile.
- Press M to open the mod menu and toggle features.
- Connect your AI provider keys (BYOK) for the AI assistant.
Frequently asked questions #
Which Java version do I need?
Java 21. Minecraft 1.21.x will not start on an older JRE, and a newer JDK — 25, for example — fails before the game loads. If Hero Client does not appear at all, check this first: it is the single most common reason it looks broken.
Which Minecraft versions are supported?
1.21 through 1.21.11 plus experimental 26.x builds.
Is Hero Client a fork or a wrapper?
Neither — it is an original client built from scratch on Fabric.
Does it require an account?
No. Downloading and playing is free and account-free.
How does the AI assistant work?
Bring-your-own-key across OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter and Ollama, with encrypted key storage.
Is it stable yet?
Version 2.1 is the first build that launches without crashes on clean installs. It is now in beta — still expect some rough edges while all 200 feature specs are completed.

Per-version builds ship as separate Fabric JARs — install the one matching your Minecraft version. Java 21 for 1.21.x, Java 25 for 26.x. All 17 releases supported.
